Douglas is out, she was already brought just as a bar specialist and a novelty story, dont see her trying to make it to tokyo. Raisman will probably stay quiet until the 2019 worlds, however i dont think also that she will come back, not with finally getting an individual all around medal.

Hmm..... Golf - I would add some sort of a ryder cup event Water Polo - The OQT showed that there are really no more then 8 good teams, unless there will be more teams just no point of increasing it, i would even take away the automatic host quota for water polo, great britain and brazil showed very low quality past 2 olympics Tennis - even though usa won gold, silver i'd take out the mixed doubles, dont see value to event where you are not qualifying to , but just assigned to because you are there Weightlifting, Boxing - Take Out I would love to say make a normal football tournament with regular players but thats just not going to happen, but maybe if at least they remove the under 23 limitation then each team can bring who they can, so maybe the top players wont play but at least it will not feel amateur like. Diving - Remove china for unfairness ok no, but the lack of competition is really frustrating

oh didnt know it's windsurfing and i think golf should be more of a ryder cup type, maybe 8 countries with 4 players each or something like that

Well i can summarize it with one word only DOMINATION, 46 golds, 121 total, unreal Swimming+Athletics+gymnastics produce most of the medals, however also some surprises , like sailing medal, like Thrasher with the first gold. Brady Ellison finally won a medal with a much better performance then London. Hard to talk about disappointments after winning so many medals but i do have to mention women's soccer, jordan burroughs in wrestling, gibb/patterson in beach volleyball, women's volleyball, though winning a medal, could've won gold and missed a huge opportunity, and off course the 400 gold that was taken from Felix on the line. Yet so many breakout stars to the world that surprised a lot of people, Ryan Murphy, Lilly King, Simone Manuel, Ryan Crouser, Clayton Murphy, Matt Centrowitz, and off course Simone Biles, who is amazing for 3 years already but first appearance on an Olympic stage. There's a lot more to stay, so probably later on i can write a more detailed sport by sport recap for USA

well if someone can help me out , how to download videos from nbcolympics.com while they are up there i can download a bunch, maybe all and share some (also there is the olympic channel starting tomorrow, maybe they will put the replays there? )

obviously... was a joke, i dont think there is more then a few players that were born elsewhere, wouldn't even be possible since the season will start few weeks later and it's the time for camps.However i think next time we will see more NFL players trying rugby like Nate Ebner did this year (and he was so dirty at times thinking that he is in the nfl)

Really? because in london we got 110 medals and 46 gold, amount of gold that we wont get to this time, plus a very nice amount in beijing. And don't worry, NBC will again make them move the swimming finals to the morning just like in beijing

Will Claye is a great competition to him, i remember sitting in the first row in the Prefontaine Classic and seeing them beat each other last few jumps, it was a real classic between those 2 (and i was sitting right at the line of the sand)

i think swimming and beach volleyball is all NBC, but i dont see how nbc would want some finals in the morning, it's not like those finals are american-less, after all christian taylor, the 3000m steeplechase runners, and 400 hurdles for men tomorrow. And i think Taylor could've broke the world record under the right conditions (night time) after seeing how close he got last year in beijing

Ok this Schedule SUCK!!! every session have at most 3 finals, morning finals are incredibly stupid, especially putting a triple jump final, with an american contender at 9 am easter time is so stupid, i used to be able to not turn away because there's so much action, now i can jump between streams and not miss anything
