  1. These will qualify Nigeria Jamaica Ghana (also has an alpine skier) North Korea Just outside qualification and need better results Tajikistan (needs a couple good results to qualify) Venezuela: no race results since last update, needs 2-3 good results Nepal (needs a couple good results) Tonga 1 more race needed... but he hasn't been close to hitting it after Project Bogota. Unlikely: Trinidad and Tobago Algeria Paraguay (needs good results x5 to qualify... time is running out). First 4 should qualify, I also predict Tajikistan, Nepal and Tonga to qualify. So 7 more nations would equal 96 countries.
  2. No Canadian women has hit the standard for the women's 1500m wow.
  3. But watch the IOC add it to the 2022 Olympics and cut men's sleds!!!!!!!!111111 What a joke.
  4. Kaillie Humphries and Phylicia George For those who do not know, George is a two time finalist in the women's 100m hurdles at the Olympics (2012 and 2016).
  5. I disagree. The IBU has made it increasingly difficult for smaller nations to qualify for the Olympics. In many of these smaller countries funding usually hinges on the Olympics. No Olympics = no funding, which effectively will kill the sport in smaller nations. For ex. less countries scored qualifying points for 2018 vs 2014. On the other hand, the FIS changed Olympic qualification rules after 2014, to allow roller skiing events to be counted towards Olympic qualification, which will increase the number of participating nations.

  7. Same but its -25 celsius here on a consistent basis
  8. Hockey without a doubt is #1. Short track is second, very fun sport to watch on tv and better in person (these athletes are so fast!). Biathlon is surprisngly third for me, its very interesting to watch as anything can happen.
  9. They only won 2 in Toronto, wow. Maybe they will win 5-6 this time around, but I can also see it going the other way around.
  10. Very odd, but maybe it will raise the standards?
  11. will likely only use 2 spots in 500, 1000, and 1500 for women. The quotas would then fall too , , respectively. As for the men, its likely only 2 spots in the 1500m will be used, meaning would gain a quota. More will be know after the trials between Jan 4th and 9th.
  12. Peru chose Basque pelota and bodybuilding. However, surfing was their primary choice, but that was auto added because of its addition to Tokyo 2020. Canada didn't choose a sport in 2015, but rather a event (women's baseball), which has been dropped from Lima 2019.
  13. Water skiing is actually a cool sport, I got to experience it live in 2015 at the Pan American Games. Canada usually does well as well, so that doesn't hurt For 2019, women will compete in wakeboarding for the first time. As for bodybuilding it is only 2 events (one men and one women, 16 athletes each). Nothing like in the Asian Games where they had 10 weight categories.
  14. Not counting LA... and for overall medals one more from Rio will do the trick
  15. Wow all of Canada's medals are won by women (one by a mixed team). I think 2020 is going to be a breakout year for Canada. Most medals ever perhaps? (Then again with all the new events, this might be the case for some other nations)
  16. 13 years ago the Indian Ocean tsunami hit, one of the biggest natural disasters to hit the globe in recent memory.
  17. Surfing is not being held at those respective continental games.
  18. Weightlifting wildcards http://www.iwf.net/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2017/12/Universality-Places_Selected-NOCs.pdf
  19. The combined one is personally and the downhill I remember reading here somewhere,.. it wasn't posted by me.
