  1. What a farce the Kata event is. Even worse than artistic Swimming.
  2. Huge day tomorrow. Potential for most medals in one day for Canada
  3. If Spain wins that means all 3 gold medals for Spain won't reappear in 2024.
  4. Warner with the gold! Finally breaks through after so many close calls! Canada up to its 5th gold and surpasses Rio 2016
  5. Yes after Avalon Wasteneys in rowing. Mitchell looks really good. I think the sprint is up her alley and maybe she can medal there.
  6. The RBC training ground program found both racers too. They will need a third for Paris.
  7. I think all 10 athletes in the field can medal....Daniel has actually beaten all 9 of his opponents before.
  8. Here are Canada's medalists so far with last World Championships performance for that event Gold: Maggie Mac Neil (gold) Maude Charron (second, among competitors that contested the event in Tokyo, but she was ranked #1 coming in) Women's eights rowing (fourth) Andre De Grasse 200m (second) Silver: Women's 4x100 freestyle swimming (third) 3m synchro women diving (second) Kylie Masse 100m back (first) Kylie Masse 200m back (third) Laurence Vincent Lapointe (first*, in 2018 the last worlds she competed at) Bronze: Jessica Klimkait 57 kg judo (first) Softball team (third) Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard (No placement in 2019, but ranked 4th coming into tournament) Penny Oleksiak 200m free (sixth) Caileigh Filmer and Hillary Janssens women's pairs rowing (third) Women's 4x100 medley team (third) Andre De Grasse 200 m (third) 13 of 16 medals also won medals at their last worlds, would be 14 considering the unique circumstance in weightlifting. The other two (women's eights or CBP, finished fourth or were ranked fourth coming into the games). So NONE of these medals are surprises at all. Usually there is a surprise or two among the medals, hoping one can still arise.
  9. Australia was definitely doping, its so obvious!!!11
  10. Dhesi looked good but couldn't expect the defending champion to lose
  11. Canada finally wins a medal in the sport partially named after it, after missing out in 2016
  12. Only in Canada can you have multiple time defending champs in a new event and then go onto not win the gold at the Olympics
  13. Looks like we know who will win the 4x100m relay https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/resOG2020-/pdf/OG2020-/ATH/OG2020-_ATH_C51D_ATHM4X100M------------RND1000200--.pdf :P
  14. Yea looks like no medals in canoeing
  15. If all goes well. Canada has 4 gold medal chances (Warner, both women's Canoeing events and Women's soccer team). Hoping all 4 can deliver and make a serious push for top 10
  16. Kilkenny, ridden by Cian O’Connor (IRL), had a nosebleed during the jumping competition
  17. Amazing race! With that Canada betters it's medal table performance from Rio. Now if the team can get 8 more medals I'll be satisfied
  18. For sure it must have helped.
  19. De Grasse Canada beats its performance from Rio!
  20. It seems like it or he is resting for 400
  21. And qualified through the rankings for the 110m hurdles.
  22. Warners jump would have won him Bronze in the long jump...
