    It is better, by like a lot Orienteering has been one of my least favourite sports at these WG along with cheerleading/anything dancing/wushu. I attempted to watch it during the middle distances, my attention was on it for maybe a few minutes at most before I was like yeah nope, never again.

    Great analysis, I will also add that after the downhill portion of the race, there’s a cross-country skiing component (it’s really short, athletes cross it in like 5 seconds) before you reach the finish line

    I expect it’ll be a lot closer at the Olympics. Edit: Well I mean I’d hope so, that was a pretty abysmal final, lasted until midway through the third until I switched it off

    How the hell is it “legal” to literally just grab the other athlete from the wheelchair and drag them out of it onto the ground? This honestly doesn’t seem like the most logical/practical sport for people in wheelchairs, but I mean if they want to do it then go ahead.

    defeat in 5 in the second women’s fistball semifinal, coming back from down 1-2! Germany saved 5 MP’s during that 5th set from 5-10 down. v. for gold and v. for bronze.
