  1. Probably should’ve used the word most before swimmers, because you’re absolutely right about that. That’s not what I saying though. @Surlympics is trying to imply as if he took it easy to conserve his energy. I was saying he could’ve just had a bad swim/miscalculated the race. I’d say it was the latter given his form this week. Yep, sometimes that’s indeed the case but he has no conflicts in his schedule and this is one of the three individual events he’s a medal contender in. Why would he do that?
  2. I disagree, swimmers don’t intentionally try to miss a semifinal, they show up to compete. I play competitive sports myself, and that’s not the way I (or most athletes) think He’s also a bigger medal contender in the 50 free than the men’s medley relay, so there’s that. Although I do like the mental gymnastics you’re using to try and justify it, it’s a disappointing result and I get it
  3. Wow Kenzo Miller first started hammer throw 8 weeks ago, and he’s already winning medals at Nationals with a bronze in the U20 with a PB of 57.46m!
  4. It’s the heats, everyone advances through to the next stage pretty much.
  5. Checking the results again, Adam Nyarko also went sub 47 with 46.77. Promising sign for our future in the 400m.
  6. Women’s 100m heats at Championships Jacious Sears 10.85 Melissa Jefferson-Wooden 10.86 Kayla White 10.89 TeeTee Terry 10.89 Aleia Hobbs 10.94 Insane times.
  7. Tara Davis-Woodhall with a new WL of 7.12m in the women’s long jump at US Nationals! Fouled a 7.30m jump by 1cm too.
  8. Haiti and Ukraine have got to be on there too (I love Ukraine, but with the war going on it’s not the best place to visit at the moment…)
  9. 2:18.50 Kate Douglass!
  10. 4th for Blake Tierney in the men’s 200m backstroke!
  11. 50.24 for Josh Liendo in the second semifinal! Both through to the final!
  12. 50.39 for Illya Kharun in the men’s 100m butterfly semifinals!
  13. Jackson MacKay with a new U20 NR of 7,652 points in the U20 decathlon despite a bad showing in the pole vault!
  14. Or he had a bad swim I mean he’s a bonafide medal contender in the 50 free, don’t think he would take it conservatively. And even if he was, why not scratch the event instead of racing?
  15. 77.30m and 72.61m for Camryn Rogers and Jillian Weir in women’s hammer throw!
  16. 18 year old Ryder Rattee 46.44 PB in the U20 men’s 400m heats!
  17. Blake Tierney with another NR in the men’s 200m backstroke, 1:55.03 He’s had a rough season, completely unexpected.
  18. 1:55.03 for Blake Tierney in the men’s 200m backstroke semifinals! NR and through to the final!
  19. Chalmers looks unfazed with his bronze
  20. 2:10:32 for Oliver Dawson in the men’s 200m breaststroke semifinals! Another new PB and 15-17 NAG!
  21. Popovici! 46.51 to complete the double
  22. A very unexpected 4th for Kaetlyn Fung in women’s 10m platform, we sent a very weak diving squad and wasn’t expecting anything better than 6-8th at best (in synchro) so hats off to her
