  1. Maybe you’re not talking about my reply, and if so I apologize, but I assume you are? Of course, I’m not trying to imply that I expected much more out of him, because young athletes almost always succumb to the pressure (being new to the scene and all), it’s just somewhat surprising to see him finish 7th in his heat (I thought he either would’ve finished 4th-6th and either missed out or made the semis) after the 1:42 at Trials. I think that’s reasonable. If you’re talking about social media, that’s another thing, lot’s of people are putting the pressure on Lutkenhaus to perform. Dude’s only 16, and burst onto the scene this year, they need to chill.
  2. Totally agree, I will say it is a little bit surprising though. Now I didn’t think he would reach the final per se, but if he were to miss out on the semis I thought he would’ve been 4th-6th.
  3. dropped a set to
  4. Lutkenhaus only 7th
  5. A little bit too close for comfort, but Marco Arop safely through to the semifinals in the men’s 800m.
  6. Roban really faded badly near the end there
  7. Isabella Holmgren really has me excited for the future of Canadian mountain biking
  8. For those of you that are too lazy to click on the article: 12 qualified relay teams per event instead of the usual 16, and the top 6 in each of the stroke 50s at the 2027 World Cup qualify for the Olympics.
  9. Looking like it’ll change tomorrow, but there’s a good chance British Colombia will be the only province to win medals at that point.
  10. I assume that’s a surprise? Have barely been following wrestling at all this season.
  11. WORLD RECORD! Mondo does it again!
  12. Hocker deservingly DQ’d for elbowing Farken. Farken through to the final.
  13. HUGE UPSET!!! 12.24 NR for Kambundji, new World Champion!
  14. Even if he went for 6.15m, he’s not beating Mondo today He has a lot to gain from clearing this height though, it would be a PB/NR for him (his current best is 6.08m)
  15. The camaraderie from her competitors, all of them are genuinely really happy for her. This is what I love about sport.
  16. Gold for Rogers! 78.09 80.51 78.27 79.11 All four of those marks would’ve won gold

  21. “Is that gonna land in” Immediately after it lands out
  22. Nordås seventh in his semifinal, he’s out!
  23. Kassanavoid playing 3D chess here, intentionally not stepping out and letting it get called as a foul to get a mark in, in case others foul out.
  24. 1.63m PB, I’m lost for words
  25. WHAT JUST HAPPENED 80.51m NR FOR CAMRYN ROGERS IN THE SECOND ROUND!!! HOLY MOLY!
