Belgium are super underrated and a great team, come on. Obviously it’ll be disappointing, and will feel like a missed opportunity, but having watched them here and at the Olympic Qualifiers they deserve a higher ranking.

Agreed, but I also think that the qualification system (for grabbing additional quotas at Worlds) is stupid, and needs to be changed. Fabbri/Ayer did really well, but because our top two ice dance teams didn’t finish high enough they didn’t qualify. -

has had a nightmare of a Championships, DeGrasse is washed, LePage is still recovering from injury and nowhere near his best in his first comp back, Mitton finished a disappointing 4th in shot put, Dunfee got injured in the 35km and withdrew from the 20km… (let’s ignore the 35km race walk gold, and Katzberg/Rogers) … taking a page out of @copravolley ‘s book here

Nice feel good story here, Brooks suffered heat stroke at the US Trials for Tokyo and failed to make the Olympic team, and now she’s on the podium with a bronze
