  1. 44.09 PB and Canadian record for Christopher Morales-Williams in the men’s 400m at the SEC Championships
  2. According to this (pretty credible, could still be wrong) site, Mikeisha Welcome (women’s triple jump, 14.21 at her best) is representing Canada and not Saint Vincent and the Grenadines https://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?event_id=1697&do=videos&video_id=384192 @intoronto
  3. 76.53m for Rowan Hamilton in men’s hammer throw at the PAC-12 Championships! What a day for Canadian athletics (and sport in general, minus the disappointing 4-2 win over Great Britain at the Men’s Hockey Worlds of course)
  4. Also forgot to mention, Grace Tennant with a new PB of 17.15m! She’s on the bubble for Olympic qualification on the Road To Paris Rankings, so this will help her a lot.
  5. Nope, that was a mistake by me, I was looking at a Twitter list and they didn’t have LePage on it. The official Instagram for the event has confirmed that he’s entered on one of their posts.
  6. If I had to guess, probably not, but it could put her in contention if the conditions aren’t the best or a couple of the favourites have an off-day. I’d say anything sub 12.43 would definitely be guaranteed a medal.
  7. Another new NR for Samba-Mayela in the women’s 100m hurdles, clocking 12.52 at the Pure Athletics Sprint Elite Meet! @Benolympique Looking like a real medal threat for the Olympics (this time probably won’t win one, but she’s been PBing left and right and only needs to shave off a couple hundredths or so)
  8. Next few meets for Ethan Katzberg have been announced (not officially, but through my research. On May 18, he’s entered in the men’s hammer throw competition at the Orlen Janusz Kusocinski Memorial, and on May 25, at the Hallesche Werfertage. Other notable events are Gotzis on May 18/19, where we’ll see Damian Warner and Pierce LePage in the decathlon, and the Atlantic City Games on May 18, as Mariam Abdul-Rashid will compete in the women’s 100m hurdles (entry lists aren’t officially out yet so there could be more Canadians in action)
  9. Wake me up when it’s the Olympics already
  10. May is for sure one of the busiest, if not the busiest months in terms of Olympic qualifiers. Here’s what’s going on this week. Canadian Olympic Swim Trials from Monday to Sunday is the biggest one, of course all of our big names will be there including McIntosh, Liendo, Kharun, MacNeil, and Masse. Another event that’s big, is the 3x3 Basketball Olympic Qualifying Tournament on Wednesday to Sunday, where our women’s team will look to forget about the disappointment of that loss in the final to Australia. Our men’s team will also feature, although their chances are quite slim. Then there’s the Canadian Diving Olympic Trials from Friday to Sunday where two spots on the team are available. Zsombar-Murray will probably qualify in men’s 10m, but there’s an intriguing battle between Vallee and Ware for the quota in women’s 3m, both have been world medalists in the last two years. Also qualification opportunities at the Table Tennis American Olympic Qualifier from Tuesday to Saturday, with Mo Zhang, BMX Racing World Championships (really important for our men) this Sunday to Saturday, the Olympic Qualifier Series stop in Shanghai from Thursday to Sunday, and the Triathlon Mixed Relay Olympic Qualifier from Friday to Sunday (especially important because Jamnicky is on the outside looking in for a 2nd women’s quota) There’s also the start of Women’s VNL, where we’re in a tight battle for the final Olympic quota with the Netherlands.
  11. How? This is the final Olympic Qualifier for wrestling.
  12. Any live streams for the American Olympic Qualifier?
  13. Quota for in women’s 76kg
  14. @intoronto still think Canada has no chance for an Olympic quota?
  15. Linda Morais qualifies for her first Olympics, after unsuccessful attempts for Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, through the Wrestling Final Olympic Qualifying Tournament!
  16. Morais A well deserved first ever Olympic appearance for her. Almost blew it at the end, but she got the quota and that’s all that matters
  17. Quota for in women’s 68kg
  18. My heart is beating a million miles an hour, really nervous for this next match.
  19. That was quick Quota for in women’s 62kg
  20. Only PPV, unfortunately.
  21. Quota for hosts in women’s 53kg
  22. Stadnik finally qualifies for Paris, taking the last Olympic quota in women’s 50kg
  23. Quotas for in men’s 96kg @rybak @Adriano
