  1. Draw 16 Results 11 - 10 8 - 10 10 - 2 6 - 5 South Korea register their first win of the tournament, after starting 0-9.
  2. Draw 15 Results 3 - 5 6 - 4 10 - 4 7 - 4 and are the first two teams to qualify for the playoffs!
  3. Ouch As a doubles fan this hurts, but I can’t say that you’re wrong. But I think that’s partially due to the lack of streaming coverage, maybe if it was on TV more people would watch it. About nobody caring, you do have a point in a sense, but that Instagram post has over 500 comments, most of them are showing support to the doubles players and expressing how ridiculous the rule changes were. I’d much rather they remove one of the non-sports (or all of them in exchange for other sports) from TV channels. So far I’ve encountered pickleball, chase tag, and pillow fighting, and each of them were so boring that I fell asleep within ten minutes
  4. Men’s team pursuit in track cycling has also qualified for Paris through the Olympic Rankings!
  5. There was a fire, but it certainly wasn’t a small one.

  7. I’m reading a SwimSwam article on the matter, theoretically if he wanted to switch back to the United States in time for the LA 2028 quad he could, although he’d have refrain from swimming internationally for three years. But a decision to switch nationalities is permanent, and there’s no guarantee that he’ll make the US Olympic team so who knows. A SwimSwam user (mind you I take everything users on there say with a grain of salt, but in case they are telling the truth I decided to mention it) also noticed that Kharun wore USA Swimming attire at Canadian World Trials last year. If he’s long term choosing Canada as his country, it’s a bit strange to be sporting another countries attire.
  8. https://www.instagram.com/p/C5TdRulsigN/?igsh=a3Jhb2Y2ajhxeGQ= New doubles format for the WTA/ATP tour has been announced, which will makes it’s debut at the Madrid Open. I’m sort of convinced this is a delayed April Fools joke or something, because what the f*ck? … really hope this change doesn’t last long
  9. Two more 7-4 wins against Netherlands and South Korea improves our record to 7-1! Another double match day tomorrow, taking on two very tough opponents in Norway and Sweden at 12:00AM PST/3:00AM EST and 10:00 PST/1:00PM EST.
  10. Standings After Day 5 Team Edin (8-0) Team Gushue (7-1) Team Mouat (6-2) Team Schwaller (6-2) Team Muskatewitz (6-3) Team Retornaz (5-3) Team Shuster (4-4, 1-0) Team Ramsfjell (4-4, 0-1) Team Klima (3-6, 1-0) Team Abe (3-6, 0-1) Team Gosgens (2-6) Team Hood (0-8) Team Park (0-9)
  11. Draw 14 Results 4 - 7 7 - 4 5 - 7 8 - 5
  12. I guess we’ll have to see what happens at Chinese Nationals (and the Olympics should he qualify)
  13. Wang Changhao split 50.68 at the Asian Games last year so I wouldn’t be too sure about that. But barring a DQ they should be on the podium.
  14. Agreed, but let’s see what the fly can do first.
  15. New record for Ollie Morgan with a 52.70 in the men’s 100m backstroke at the Great Britain Swimming Championships!
  16. Shannon Westlake wins bronze in women’s 50m rifle 3 positions at the Pan American Rifle & Pistol Championships! What a showing.
  17. Not me successfully jinxing Canadian athletes yet again Already had a reply prepared saying “Quota for , congrats @konig “
  18. 1.8 point lead* and it was the second to last shot
  19. Ty Ikeda secures a quota in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions with a silver medal at the Pan American Rifle & Pistol Championships! He was 1.8 points behind Argentina heading into the 43/45th shot, but complete disaster by Zoccali Albizu on his last (6.0) combined with a 8.4 was more than enough to get it done! At the beginning of the qualification period I was expecting/hoping for at least one quota in shooting, but now we have 3!!
  20. Quota for in men’s 50m rifle 3 positions! And with that being our third quota in shooting, it marks the most amount of athletes that we’ve had in this sport since Beijing 2008! (where we had 4)
  21. Ok well he’s out of it now, that’s all from me
  22. Bad series for Ikeda but he recovers with a 10.5. Not expecting a quota so any result would be a good one.
