  2. Two very nice shots by Mark Nichols sets up a Gushue draw for a deuce. We’re going to an extra end tied 6-6! Italy with the hammer.
  3. Retornaz with a deuce. leads 6-4 after the 9th end, Canada with the hammer in 10. Looking like Canada’s streak of 12 consecutive wins against Italy (and their perfect record of 3-0) will come to an end today

  13. Vic obviously knows more about curling than I do, but I wouldn’t say Switzerland is struggling just yet. I mean sure, they were probably hoping for a better start than a 1-2 record, but their two losses were to heavyweights United States and Sweden. Maybe if they lose to Netherlands yeah…
  14. v. here we go!
  15. Draw 6 Results 4 - 9 8 - 1 8 - 6 This Klima team is very good, they’ve been pushing the top teams all tournament long. Really hope they can qualify for the 2026 Olympics in Milano-Cortina.

  18. As previously reported by my good buddy @intoronto, the Canadian Table Tennis Olympic Trials (had no clue we even had an event for selection before yesterday) have just concluded with Jeremy Hazin joining pre-selected Eugene Wang and Edward Ly in the team event.
  19. Adding on to that, it looks like Eugene Wang and Edward Ly will be our representatives in the men’s singles event.
  20. Beach handball will make it’s “Olympic debut” in Paris as an exhibition event, set to take place from July 27-29. There will be four teams competing in each of the men’s/women’s tournaments.
