  1. Everyone would like to be in the host Qatar group anyway - even those teams from Pot 4. Obviously Asian teams can't count on that by design. Poland was lucky enough to be in the hosts' group both in 2002 and 2006 which only made our failure look even worse
  2. One week after the season ended there's a ton of positive COVID tests among Norwegians, Swedes and Germans Eckhoff, Tandrevold, E. Oeberg, Herrmann, Preuss, you name it. I suppose there was some major socializing in Holmenkollen?
  3. Congrats! I actually remember Randy Samuel from the 1986 WC squad but not the actual Canada games from that tournament.
  4. Victoria Azarenka flat out QUIT from a Miami R3 match vs Linda Fruhvirtova after getting outplayed by the 16yo wild card. A new low for the "extremely injured" former #1
  5. Verstappen wins after a late pass on Leclerc. Sainz 3rd ahead of the unfortunate Perez. Hamilton only 10th after having to make his lone pitstop under green due to closed pits under VSC (Ricciardo & Alonso conked out right at pitlane entry).
  6. Well, Perez got hosed by VSC pitstops after Latifi's crash and dropped from 1st to 4th. Still 20 laps left.
  7. Anze Semenic & Severin Freund join the list of retired ski jumpers.
  8. Satoko Miyahara (figure skating, 1x silver, 1x bronze at WCh) announced retirement on her 24th birthday. Also Madison Hubbell & Zachary Donohue are officially retired after winning silver medal at the World Champs.
  9. Well, apparently football team will play some friendlies - vs and I only know this because a GK from Polish league didn't travel for those games.
  10. Btw, Mick Schumacher will not take part in tomorrow's race after a heavy crash in qualifying.
  11. Sergio Perez takes pole in Saudi Arabia. His first ever @mrv86 Hamilton down in 16th
  12. Anthony Joshua to resurrect Polish boxing?
  13. Shit hit the fan in post-event interview, our veterans Stoch, Zyla & Kubacki want Dolezal to be retained and Stoch even said he can hire a personal coach if there's a new guy in place of Dolezal. A complete PR failure of our federation and sporting director Malysz who is totally over his head on the job.
  14. Daiki Ito 197,5 meters in his last ever competitive jump.
  15. Iga Swiatek beat Viktoria Golubic 62 60 in Miami R2 so she is officially WTA #1 in the next rankings
  16. There will be no boycott. Not even a farce like 2005 US GP.
  17. Yeah, Haddad Maia looks to be in good shape lately and she takes out the in-form Sakkari in three sets.
  18. Money talks... who cares about some oil plant being destroyed by rockets
  19. Linda Fruhvirtova beat Elise Mertens in three sets and advances into R3 of Miami Open. Highly impressive from the 16 year old!
  20. Yes, I know, but what happened with importing Russian or American skaters? I mean even Poland imports some Russians to figure skating these days. Who da hell imports Poles?
  21. Word is Roman Abramovich using his Portuguese passport came to Poland by train last night in order to have a secret meeting with Joe Biden.
  22. It's official, Michal Dolezal will step down as the head coach of the Polish team after the season. The current season was a complete failure and even Kubacki's lucky bronze at the WOG makes no difference. Florian Liegl is the unofficial favorite to land the job.
  23. Domen Prevc blows the 1-5 but 1-4 it is for Slovenia! Ziga Jelar wins his first World Cup event after he was clearly robbed in Vikersund.
  24. Yeah, 1-5 from the same nation never happened in ski jumping World Cup before but Slovenians have a good shot today.
