I haven't realised that before you wrote it here. I saw some names and nations and thought, "yeah that looks okay". Don't worry, I can decipher what you mean. -
Mo Farah will run the 10,000m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
-
I hope the shooting will improve. Sometimes miracles do happen. My support goes to Ukaleq Slettemark. #TeamSlettemark #Greenlandbiathlon
-
I was about to complain about the horrible shooting from the Danish biathletes. I'm happy for @Werloc he is not Danish because then he would constantly bang his head into a wall over the terrible shooting.
-
Indeed. After a quick look at her instagram and facebook, it seems she is born and have lived her whole life in Sweden. I even found an interview with her from when she was 12: https://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=78&artikel=5436847 She was quite a talent in Swedish biathlon from what I can read. Her big idol was, and maybe still is, Helena Ekholm.
-
She should have performed much better on the sprint distance to deserve a spot. https://www.indta.se/api/v1/fil/bilagor/bd169e39-79fc-476e-bd96-aab7adc24023/resultat_sm_sprint_sverige.pdf (National Champs. in Men's 10km Sprint and Women's 7.5km Sprint.)

National Championships, Short Individual, Women's 12.5km and Men's 15km.

I hope the Swedish biathletes will shoot much better this weekend and next week then they did last weekend: https://www.indta.se/api/v1/fil/bilagor/e5176801-8c29-447c-8472-a164b44651b9/resultat_smkortdistans.pdf In fairness, the weather was very foggy with strong winds. Not optimal conditions.

Ragnhild Mowinckel is not coming back this season after she has sustained a new injury to her knee ligament during a training session. It's the same injury she sustained during a training run at the World Cup Finals in Andorra in March.

In short, correct. A biathlete can only earn points to a manager's total points when the biathlete is on his or her team. -

If you refer to the template with the 19 biathletes, you can select a maximum of 3 biathletes from that for the first World Cup. If you mean the excel document with a list of biathletes, BMG Biathlete Points (1) (2).xlsx, it's only provisional and not complete. You are allowed to select any biathlete. However, you may not violate this rule: Creating your biathlon team Your biathlon team will consist of 5 female and 5 male biathletes. You are only allowed to select 2 biathletes from the same nation. Only 1 male and 1 female biathlete from the same nation are allowed. 2 male or 2 female biathletes are not allowed. For the first World Cup round, managers can select a maximum of 3 biathletes in total from last WC season’s overall top 10 in both men’s and women’s WC. For every World Cup Round, managers select one male captain and one female captain. See 2e for points. -

To do that, you have to write in empty Cell a number - point difference for each match. If your prediction is that Nation 1 is going to win, you should type point difference in appropriate Cell of T1 Column. If your prediction is that Nation 2 is going to win, then type point difference in appropriate Cell of T2 Column. In case you think the match is going to end with a tie (draw), type 0 in any of the corresponding Cells. There cannot be 0 as point difference in the Semfinals and Medal Matches, and result after overtime/penalties will be counted as final result. Example Group A Date & Time (GMT +9) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 November 30th 2019, h. 18:00 Netherlands 8 Slovenia Scoring System: Basic number of points is 10 If you predict right winner for a match or a draw, you will get 10 points regardless of the goal difference. Depending on difference between your prediction and actual result, earned points will differ. Example Group A Date & Time (GMT +9) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 November 30th 2019, h. 18:00 Netherlands 8 Slovenia If the Netherlands wins by 8, you will earn 20 points [10 pts for correct winner + 10 pts for point difference: (10-(8-8))] If the Netherlands wins by 3, you will earn 15 points [10 pts for correct winner + 5 pts for point difference: (10-(8-3))] If the Netherlands wins by 19, you will earn 10 points [10 pts for correct winner + 0 pts for point difference: 10-(8-19) - no negative points] If Slovenia wins by 1, you will earn 1 point [0 pts for correct winner + 1 pts for point difference: (10-(8+1))] If Slovenia wins by 2 or more, you will earn 0 points [0 pts for correct winner + 0 pts for point difference: (10-(8+4))] In the Knockout Round, points will be multiplied by: In the Semifinals, points will be multiplied by 1.5 In the Medal Matches, points will be multiplied by 2 TB Rules If two or more contestants have the same number of points at the end, Tie-Break rule will be applied to break the tie. Example Contestant 1: 3x20, 2x19, 2x18, 2x17 Contestant 2: 3x20, 2x19, 2x18, 1x17 Contestant 1 will be placed ahead of Contestant 2. Contestant with most points wins the competition. The Ranking is determined by the Sum of Points the Contestant scores in all predicted Matches. You can enter the Contest whenever you want.
