  2. draw looks unbelievably unfair for all 3 Olympic weights tomorrow, the main problem is UWW stupid format, for example if we have 40 wrestlers in the list, there will be 8 wrestlers in each quarter draw, except the last one with 16 !!! obviously the last one is supposed to be much tougher. since all semifinalists will win the quota, I will break into each quarterdraw 67 1) Artem Surkov couldn't even dream about such easy draw, from the rest I only recognize Mete Nemes and even Nemes is no match for Surkov. I think Surkov will win this quarter and the semifinal. therfore one of those guys will climb through repechage to the bronze medal match and we will have a lucky Olympian from this part. I think Nemes is much better than the rest. 2) the second part isn't any better. but at least there will be some kind of competition, I think the Kazakh guy Shermakhambet who will have some supports from the refs will be the favorite. I think you never can underestimate Japanese wrestlers in lighter weights. 3) obviously this part is harder than the top half combined (even though still nothing compared to the last quarter) Sahakyan from Poland is the clear favorite. I think he won't have much problems entering the quarterfinal. there is some good wrestlers here to challenge him, Bolkvadze, Ismailov or Aslanyan. 4) just wow, you can see almost everybody here. Stabler, the Olympic champion Borrero, Chunayev, Euro Champion Yuksel, 2018 Euro Champ Mihut, twice world champion Ryu and few other good wrestlers like Islamov. I feel sorry for our youngster Tab, no chance for him here. it's hard to pick someone but if Stabler makes the weight properly to me he is the favorite. my picks for Olympic quotas: 87 1) looks very easy for Beleniuk, he is the gold medal favorite with any draw but since I expect him to make it to the final, one of the other guys from this quarter will win the quota !! I think there is a chance for all other 7 wrestlers, but I think it will be between Belarus or Croatia 2) we have 8 good or very good wrestlers in this quarter, much harder than the first one, I can give almost equal chances to 5 of them, Kudla, Abbasov, Abdusalam, the Georgian guy and our Taheri. only one of these guys will make it to the Olympics because of the draw (unless the winner surprises Beleniuk in the semifinal) I give more chance to Abbasov and Kudla. somehow Kudla always gets help from the refs. 3) Viktor Lorincz is probably very happy now with his Olympic quota almost secured. this is a VERY easy draw for him. maybe his second round match KGZ/LTU will be a bit hard. just that one. it will be funny if Lorincz makes it to the final. one of these guys will win a quota through repechage ! 4) this one is harder, we have Basar, Komarov, Assakalov, Shahinyan, Hietaniemi and couple more. I think Russia struggles more in this weight to win the quota. my picks for Olympic quotas: 97 1) Evloev didn't need an easy draw but he got one. and again one of the other guys will luckily win a quota. 2) this one is even easier than Evloev !! I think this is for Kajaia unless he wrestles very poor. the top half is much much easier . both quarters look like a joke to me. 3) I think there are 7 wrestlers with good chance here, even that Honduras wrestler isn't that bad. I had to think a lot to find a pick here. this is wide open 4) my reaction when I saw our wrestler in this quarter "are you kidding me ? " out of 3 wrestlers why none of ours got something easier. all 3 of them are in the toughest quarter !! (Taheri at 87 is in the 2nd toughest) obviously with baby giant Aleksanyan, he is the clear favorite for the quota. I had a hard time to pick the other guy. because Aleksanyan most probably will go to the final. my picks for Olympic quotas: and I have to admit some of picks were really random. I see I give 3 to Turkey but I'm sure they are not going to win all 3 possible quotas.

  3. My dinner tonight! These are called “rustici leccesi” as they are typical of Lecce, in Apulia. They are simple pastries filled with tomato sauce and a very dense béchamel aromatized with grounded cheese and pepper

  6. It’s better than professional or competitive coke sniffing obviously . From reason I was reminded of a really funny story. My younger sister gets in the car with my mom after school. She begins to tell my mom that some kids were passing around drugs during class. My mom asks what drugs, and my sister says “medical cocaine” . I know she was only in middle school, but every pre-schooler in California knows the difference between cocaine, marijuana, shrooms, meth, or heroine. We still tease her to this day.

  15. Our commentator just said something absolutely unbelievable ! Apparently yesterday in the match Austria-Belgium happened something unreal. Austria was losing 8-9 Belgum won another point but the score suddenly awarded 2 points for Belgum. Anybody, literally no one ine the arena noticed it, only after the match they found it, Austria submitted later an official protest, the organizers had to agree that this incredible mistake occured but sadly the match was finshed and nothing couldn´t be done anymore with this. Unbelievable, I mean there a lot of peoples, referees assisting and controlling everything in the match and no one even from the team itself noticed this

  17. So 5 then...What’s odd is that I’m pretty sure in my days of Wikipedia wandering I’ve seen this. I checked the racquet sports, but no luck (Basque Pelota being the strongest candidate so far). I’d say there’s a good possibility that it might not be a racquet.

  24. What a day, tour and year for Slovenian cycling. An astounding attack by young Pogačar in today's stage. Primož Roglič with Slovenia's first Grand Tour win. Two Slovenian riders on the same grand tour podium. Three Slovenian grand tour podiums this year. (None before this year) Rogličx5. Former ski jumper, now grand tour winner. Pogačar x10. Just because he is only 20 years old, for his performance today and three stage wins in his first grand tour. What a cyclist he can become. (Of course there is still one stage left, but hopefully nothing dramatic will happen .)

  29. I think number of athletes with MQS is good to compare smaller nations. At the top, it means nothing. For example, in the recently concluded Indian trials 347 shooters shot more than 595, MQS for 10m Air Rifle. Even considering that not all of them will be able to replicate this performance in international competition, 300 of them shot more than 605. Out of these 300 capable of getting MQS, only 14 have MQS. I am sure there will be similar situation for all the top nations.

  30. I feel more disgusted than anything, instead... I mean, here we are close to a form of "sport pedophilia"... nobody will never convince me that boys and girls of this age should be allowed to compete against men and women who could really be their fathers and mothers...no way...
    1 point
  31. no, as I wrote after the women's event, I don't have a clue about that...I can only suppose they go down to the team ranking and choose the man from the best team (I think that only because that's the tie-breaking criteria under another circumstance, for the repechage in case the WSL can't fill all of their spots and no other guys from the qualifying school can make the top 30 at the next ISA Worlds)... as you said, there's no word on the official qualification document about tied scores in this championship for the continental spots... we'll see if they make any statement after the end of the championships...but I seriously doubt they will...maybe after next year's worlds, if there's a case like this...

  32. Nobody in that whole group wanted to work with each other. Really, it wasn't something against Sagan, it wasn't something against Alaphilippe, it wasn't something against Van Avermaet....it was just a few of the best guys who all refused to work together out of fear, and Matthews used it perfectly. It's really not like Sagan was a victim or something, he was just as 'guilty' as the others.

  35. This Ben Christopher is not very familiar with women? Says it appears to be red food coloring, turns out to be menstrual blood. 'Lol'. And yeah, the non-American-but-everywhere-problem of people not vaccinating their children annoys me to no avail. It's not even about one's own kids, they're threatening all the kids their kids come in contact with and so on.

  36. Not only American, don't you worry. This whole game is a pretty big middle finger towards women though, but above all: all those people taking it way too serious. Of course Hasbro doesn't want to shine a light on any problem, they want to come up with something they know will stir up discussion because that sells better.

  37. After seeing multiple angles of the crash and how horrible it was, Movistar’s move was just disgraceful and tasteless. Anyone who’s cycled knows what a big deal respect is in the sport. When someone goes down you make sure their good and you give them a few minutes to catch their breath. There’s winning and there’s winning with class and dignity.

  39. European quota goes to Frederico Morais from A rainy and windy day in Japan today, so the competition ended early The Asian quota is between the surfers from Shun Murakami and the Rio Waida. They are at the same heat in Repechage Round 10. As for the competition itself, on Round 7 the contenders are Gabriel Medina and ítalo Ferreira from and Kolohe Andino and Kelly Slater from . They will fight for two spots at the Final.

  40. I assume people here are less interested in non-Olympic weights. but 55 the top half is more like a joke, I think Azizli is already in the final, probably only the Kazakh wrestler can make problems for him. everybody in top half has a chance for bronze. bottom half is different, I see Kabaloev and Tsurtsumia as the favorites here, but we also have Asian Champion from UZB plus good wrestlers from TUR, JPN and ARM. I also want to give some small chances to our representative. last year World Junior champion but if he wants a medal he has to do something special. 63 Maryanyan is the clear favorite from the top half, but if you check the list, all other 7 wrestlers are more or less in the same level. it will be a very interesting battle for the bronze. Maryanyan's first opponent is Delkhani from Iran ! I don't think there is a chance for him. he better start thinking about the bronze. we have 3-4 favorites in the bottom half, Ota, Bilici, Kebispayev and the Chinese guy. I have a feeling Kebispayev will find his way into the final. he will have the home crowd and UWW referees on his side. 72 again the top half is a joke, I think Mnatsakanian will steal another world medal. this guy is the new Heiki Nabi ! this is the 3rd tournament in a row with dream draw for him. there are couple of better wrestlers in that side to surprise him. once again the Kazakhstani wrestler in the easier side. I think everybody in top half except PLW and TPE will have a chance for medal. but we have all the favorites in the bottom half. specially Mantsigov and Korpasi. before the competition I would consider our youngster Kavianinejad as a medal favorite. even a gold medal favorite, but he has an uphill task ahead of him. but I think he can at least make it to the semifinal. 82 this one is a bit more balanced, still the bottom half is harder. in top half I see Kus, Gobadze and the current Euro Champion Bisultanov as the favorites. but in the bottom half, the first quarter is really tough with our Abdevali, Manukyan and the Russian guy (you also can add Pascal Eisele to the list). I think whoever comes from that quarter will win the semis as well.

  44. Some days ago I could not sleep, so I woke up in the night and start baking these It is called "Danubio", literally Danube, as the mitteleuropean river. Essentially it is a set of small pieces of dough filled and baked together, so they can bump up and merge. It can be both sweet or salty, depending on the fill. The first photo, with my foot saying hello, is sweet and it is filled with custard and sour cherries (both homemade), the other is salty, with ham and cheese.

  45. Just saying... Cuba won the NORCECA men's championship. They defeated the A team of Canada and the B team of USA. They even had visa problems to enter Canada and because of that they only played with 9 players! Roberlandy Simón returned to the team for this competition. Hopefully we will see a few more returns soon. Really promising in perspective for the olympic qualifier.
