Swimming Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

I don't think they can choose, from what I know olympic quotas in marathon swimming are nominal :)

Yah, I just realized after I posted this.  I have been away for awhile and I am just catching up on results from earlier competitions from the worlds.

So, if Grangeon gets injured, does it mean Muller cannot take her place? Even if theoretically she's the next in line? (Well, if this is the case, the next in line would be Olasz, I guess.)

If I remember good the quota will be replace with the Setubal results.

Taken directly from the qualification system:

I assume that an injury will be considered as a decline of the quota so in case the world qualifier will count. But even more easily, in case an athlete gets injured the Olympic quota is simply lost and may not be reallocated
