Yeah, I saw that. The top 6 qualify only under the condition China is amongst them, right? If China does not advance to top 6 then only 5 best will secure their spots, right?

Only play off teams, no matter what China does. How China performs just affects number of spots remaining to play for in the qualification event. Looks like Canada might need to go that long road to the olympics now..
