You mean the ritual? Well you down a tequila shot, lick a bit of salt (which you pre-poured onto your hand, and then bite into a slice of lemon

I found it useful at least as I would feel like puking after the tequila shot. So the salt and lemon really helps

On a regular basis I drink wine or 'port' (regular being on average 1-2 glasses per weekend, sometimes 0 and sometimes a bit more), every now and then my guilty pleasures consists of Bailey's or 43  

 

And during the 2017/18 New Year's I somehow felt the need to make a list out of curiousity:

 

1 glass of white wine

1 glass of 'glühwein' (warm wine)

2 glasses of champagne

9 glasses of red wine

 

I did not enjoy 1 January.
