Freestyle Skiing FIS Freestyle World Championships 2021

Recommended Posts

The only redeeming quality for dual moguls was using the competition system where the judges picked winners instead of providing non-intuitive scores. And then they changed it for the usual system and killed it.

Absolutely no need to have duplicate events in the Olympic program... Any notion of it is quite unfair, in fact (most of all to the Summer program)...

Disappointing 11th place for Emma Weiss after a 7th place in qualification. She needs to improve by 5 to 6 points in order to fight for a medal.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Just asking here, but would it be possible to transform the dual moguls thing in a speed event with mandatory jumps (first to go through the line advance to the next round as long they realize the jumps in a good enough fashion ) ?

Then, we would have two events different enough, that require slightly different skills within the same pool of athletes (athletes who may or may not excel in both events)

Possibly bonkers, don't know.

Not a bad idea, only I would prefer if it had no jumps. Just mogul skiing and the fastest one wins.

Arguably, it could be the only parallel skiing race that actually works.

For me Moguls have become a bit borring to watch with everybody doing the same tricks and now with the Final, Super Final, Ultra Final Format

And given I don't understand a bit about the scoring, how they get the scores?

Assuming nothing has changed recently, the scores are based off their speed, form in the turns, and tricks.
