If giving us the holiday, it should be extended until and including Monday, but that'd be a bit long .

rybak 3,217 Posted March 31, 2021 Author #290 Share Posted March 31, 2021 Today we will visit, opened just few years ago, special place for people who like alcohol (this is something for you @OlympicIRL @Wumo @Agger @hckošice ) Museum of Polish Vodka It's a museum in the Praga-Północ district of Warsaw, which documenting over 600 years of history and tradition of producing vodka in Poland. The museum is located in the complex of the former Warsaw Vodka Factory "Koneser". The facility is located in a restored historic spirit rectification building from 1897. It consists of three parts: the rectification hall, the main body and the ground-floor hall. The inscription "Spirit Rectification 1897–1970" has been preserved on the front elevation. The architectural design of the museum was selected in November 2014 in an open competition. The multimedia exhibition was designed by Mirosław Nizio. The museum's logo was created by Andrzej Pągowski. The establishment of the facility was supported by the French company Pernod Ricard. The facility presents, among others the development of methods of producing alcohol over the centuries, modern production methods and a collection of bottles for storing vodka. The museum was opened to visitors on June 12, 2018 In the lobby on the ground floor there are, among others, rotating black panels with grain motifs. In the cinema room on the first floor, with the walls and ceiling covered with a copper mesh (this is to imitate the interior of a large vat), 50 seats from the Komedia Theater were installed. Visitors can watch a film about long-time employees of the vodka industry. The original steel staircase leads to the hall from the lobby. The main exhibition consists of five galleries presenting the history and technology of vodka production in Poland from the 15th century to the present day. It shows, an alchemist's laboratory, an inn and a manor house, a diagram of Jan Pistorius's spirit distillation apparatus from 1817, a reconstructed agricultural distillery, and a description of vodka drinking habits. The floors in some rooms are made of alcohol barrels. The ticket price to the museum also includes a voucher for Polish vodka tasting. mrv86, Wumo, Agger and 1 other 1
