Women's Softball Tournament at the Summer Olympic Games 2020

Well, who says defense wins championships?

As good as it is, it can't compensate for a total lack of offense right off the bat.

Well I really hope this isn't the last time we see softball in the Olympics, because IMO this tournament was a ton of fun.

Actually, I would much rather see men & women’s softball than softball & baseball.  The virtue of softball is that the game is short & can be played in almost any outdoor sports stadium.

Agreed. It also solves the pretty glaring gender equality issue of the current setup. Olympic baseball is whack too since it isn't best on best.

Depending on how the IOC handles the extra quotas I imagine will see it in 2028. 2032 might have a chance with Australia unless they want to go with cricket (or netball, but there's no men's equivalent).

:USA pitching wasn’t a strong as it had been for the rest of tournament. I actually thought our offense was better, but :JPN just played a great game.

Slight off topic.

Since you gave us many links after Rio with all these finals, can we expect something similar after Tokyo?

I am reffering to those official links.

We even had topic about those links, topic was active even in January 2021.

I would like to see exotic sports like softball :)
