They claim the other side to be fascist and dictatorial but themselves aren't willing to accept the popular mandate.

Lots of people do though. They may be unhappy with it, but I don't see anybody physically attacking the centre of power just yet. Four years ago, that's when we really saw people genuinely refusing to accept the result en masse. This time even the losing candidate, as they should, conceded shortly after the election. Which should obviously be normal, but last time that happened was already 8 years ago.

Take a look at Twitter (yeah, still not giving Musk that one)... Packed with MAGA maniacs saying that it's the dems are cheating again. Certainly seems logical to cheat down ballot (but still not enough to win the senate or the house) but still give Trump the win. Both groups claiming that it's cheating are fools, but there's a massive difference to 4 years ago when close to every single person with a role in the Republican and every conservative media personality went along with the big lie.

That's what leads to people trying to overthrow the democracy.

No doubt there'll be some left wingers using the situation to create a stirr, but anywhere near 4 years ago? Not at all.

Yea i know, and maybe if the elections were run better in Arizona or California (also Alaska who are stuck at 74% for about 5 days now), where a week later and a lot of votes are not even counted yet (contrary to Florida that were pretty much done on election night), then it would give people more confidence, but when a week later and California keep adding votes that mostly help democratic candidates it's suspect, hopefully trump finds a way to enact full voter id and fix those issues.

We certainly can agree that all of the US has a lot to learn about running an effective election. The Republicans usually don't help there. Usuallly (but not always) that's them making things harder and well, a bunch of death threats doesn't quite help the officials either.

But both you and I know very well is that the main reason that those MAGA maniacs doesn't believe it is because they've been fed the lie by Trump, Kari Lake, Tucker and so on and so on without the slightest bit of care about the ones voting or the ones counting the votes.

We can nutpick too ;)

And TikTok very much shows you what keeps you engaged, if you're seeing election denial videos on it... well it says a lot about the kind of content you like to watch.

Kari Lake was kicked out everywhere she ran, And it's funny that you're talking about election denying after trump won, doing a bit of election denying ourselves are we?

Have you considered that you might not be getting a very representative view of what's going on from those accounts?

I spend more time that is healthy on TikTok and I've seen zero election denialism (either from the right or the left)
