Korea has accepted all reallocations so far (two in freestyle skiing), so I'm afraid this is written on the wind already...

Incidentally, I know that  Jaque Muorao was thinking that perhaps she would be the only person to do the Beijing 2008/2022 double but there will be at least one other - Britain's bobsleigh brakewoman Montell Douglas was in the 2008 100m/4x100m.

It's now out in the open, so: Monday @brunamoura was selected and announced as part of the Brazilian team for Beijing. The same day she did a COVID test.....which came back positive. Long story short, now we're hoping hard for a test to be negative in time for her to still make it to the Olympics before the Brazilian authorities need to make an (understandable) decision to go for a replacement athlete.

 

So, we wait and we keep hoping. There isn't really anything she realistically could have done differently to avoid it, so it's pure bad luck...hopefully there's some good luck coming soon.

Really hope she can test negative and be ready for the Olympics and achieve her goals.
