Good news for you is that she'll most likely retire after these olympics :d

Hm, that seems too early for her, 32 isn't that old in this sport, she would very likely be a medal contender in Paris like Kozák in Tokyo.

Anyway, this is a terrible Games for Europe in Canoe Sprint so far in terms of gold medals, only 1984 is comparable where :NZL won 4 gold medals, but obviously many of the strongest countries missed that Games. :GER is in danger of not winning any gold medals, if we ignore 1984 this would be the first time since 1972 without a German gold. Fortunately for them men's K4 is still coming up as their last chance (there's also MC1), similarly to how K4 is our last chance to beat the Kiwis in women's kayak.

Disgusting performance by the German team so far, hopefully they will lose all funding. A bit surprising that Russian isn’t winning anything, given that other classic doping countries (Hungary, China) seem to have profited a lot from the pandemic.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

We sure are benefitting from the pandemic, except nope, in most events we are performing like in 2019, just with two boats per event instead of one. Someone like Csipes didn't come out of nowhere, she was always this strong, she just couldn't defeat Kozák at the trials and we only had one boat per event.

    • Made a minor update already. FIS updated the qualification standings for the snowboard slopestyle/big air despite the fact that I already gathered the data after the last event. My guess is that they forgot to adjust the standings so that only the top 6 slopestyle and top 4 big air results for each athlete count. This has resulted in the following changes in snowboard:    +1  +1  -1   There is only one subtraction because on the men's side, Jonas Hasler is the athlete who now misses qualification but he is already qualified in the halfpipe so an extra quota is gained overall.

    • Some of the events work better than others. Tactics will only be a watchable thing in the longest two slams - the others are two quick for anyone to do so and it be watchable. The hurdles having a flat race is just odd - they at least some of the time need to do the hurdles second as well.
