First start of athlete from :MON Monaco - alpine skier Oliver Jenot finished 28th in super combined, which is not very bad result. Only 37 competitors finished as many athletes very often DNF or DNS.

Its only natural that I'll support Malta.

Today Elise Pellegrin, the only Maltese athlete, was in action in the women's giant slalom. She was disqualified after going out of the course during her first run. :(

Victor Santos :BRA didn't exactly have the competition he expected in the 15k freestyle....several minutes behind people he should at least stay close to.

Isabel Clark Ribeiro :BRA, as said before, didn't start in the snowboard cross due to an injury in training, and she has now officially announced her retirement. That was to be expected, considering she's 41 years old, but it's official now. Thanks for a nice career Isabel, bringing a 9th place in the Winter Olympics to Brazil (in 2006) is beautiful! Plus, she's a highly valued 'president' of the athlete's representatives of the Brazilian snow sports federation :)
