well refs disqualified 9 Filipino players ! and with only 3 left we had 5 vs 3 basketball for few minutes before the remaining players fouling out intentionally ! what a shame

Looks like Ausies got good beating.

And one of the Aussies threw in a flying kick that'd make the average K1 fighter jealous.

that's NBA player Thon Maker :d I'm sure he didn't know how to fight before today.

btw I wonder if FIBA suspends Filipino players. at least some of them deserve that. specially their star player Castro. and guess who is their next opponent in next round ? Iran :d we also have them in our group for the Asian Games. sooooo I'm not against any kind of suspensions for them :p

this is terrible that our loss to Iraq will carry forward to the next round even though Iraq is eliminated ! even though I think we need only two more wins to qualify. but Japan looks scary the way they played in this 3rd window.

  • 4 weeks later...

FIBA Americas qualifying:

o- Group E: ARG,USA are 5-1; PUR, URU are 4-2; PAN and MEX are 3-3.

o- Group F: CAN, BRA, VEN are 5-1, DOM is 4-2; VIR is 2-4; CHI is 1-5.

Uruguay will struggle to defeat Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Group F is much easier than group E.

We beat France on basketball?! Are you kidding me :hyper: :wacko: I know this is a fluke win, but now i'm again angered by the stupid, stupid losses in the first group stage. I caught only the last 2 minutes, and i have never seen basketball players so happy. This team could qualify for a Euro at some point.

    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
    • So after finding this this morning     I started to search for more news about the date and ticket prices all over the world web !   I found this then       to just notice later that   it was April fools     so yeah, that was my day
    • Hope we’ll get  qualifying here, and then a combination of  at the OQE.
