So,Russia-Italy and Greece-USA will be first place in groups.

if I understand the rules correctly, if RUS and ITA finish tied with less than 8 goals, NED will top the group

btw, in general tie breaking is a bit complicated in this sport :p

if they finish 9-9, their match against the winner of FRA/GER match determine the group winner lol

Wonderful, thanks to Italy getting a draw for free by the referees, we probably have to play Spain in a fight for 1 Olympic ticket...our luck

I'd rather say: "thanks to our (your) lack of killer instinct" (let's say so...but we could say also "psychological fragility")...

don't forget that you wasted a 4 goal-margin in the last period against the Russians...

u should be winning at home not looking on referees, c`mon, if u don`t take your chances it`s your risk

I fell in love with sports.....since i first seen it

Also, they should have played better, obviously. But there's also the option (which looks more realistic) that 1. they didn't finish their chances and 2. Italy got some "help" (again, just like at the world championships).

1 doesn't exclude 2, but of course 2 also doesn't exclude 1 :)

Shame, it was going to be hard no matter who our quarterfinal opponent was, but finishing fourth and facing the winner of Russia/Italy is pretty close to worse case scenario.

I'm guessing RUS, ITA and NED all would not exactly have been ideal opponents :p

It's a shame that Spain just destroyed Canada in two segments of a few minutes (from 3-5 to 7-5 and later when moving up to 10-6)...there was more possible for the Canadians :(
