Well, we really messed up our chances for 5 quota's in the Olympics, just because two of our leaders couldn't avoid the penalty loop :(

Beautiful skiing by Landertinger, happy for Austria.

12th place, the best seasons relay result achieved at world championships, this is a certainly good result, pitty for the slow skiing times, the top 10 was today very close, but well, we haven´t 4 equal competitors for a top 10 relay so far, even if Michal Šíma really had a good race today, perfect shooting and a decent skiing, surprisingly he was able to fight for the top 10 untill the end. Maybe a better shooting in 3rd leg by Tomáš Hasilla would ranked us among the dreamed ten, but well, what can we do, the guys tried their best, this is just the top of their posibilities they can do right now, but still it´s a fine result compared to the previous relays.

In the Nations Cup we moved to 15th place, overpassing Kazakhstan by 5 points. 557 points advantage against 18th Romania for next season World Cup 4 starters and 991 points ahead of Latvia for the 5 WOG quotas.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
