Meanwhile the women have started in London. Let's go Salpeter :cheer:

Pacemakers head off at announced, discussed, agreed pace.  No-one follows.  :hairpull:

Athletes now shouting at pacemakers to bring them back.  Problem is pacemakers are paid to run at a certain pace, are worried that if they don’t do the job they don’t get paid.

Stockholm - Saturday

and on Monday Boston, also live on ES TV. There are seemingly people hoping to do Chicago & Boston back to back.

About time Nike was forced to take some responsibility for the Nike Oregon Project.

Former track phenom Mary Cain has filed a $20million lawsuit against former coach Alberto Salazar and his former employer, Nike, alleging that she suffered mental and physical abuse during her four years at the firm's Oregon Project.

Cain, 25, alleges in a lawsuit filed in Multnomah County, Oregon state court on Tuesday that Salazar humiliated her publicly on several occasions by disparaging her weight after making her get on a scale in front of other people.

So winning the Olympics 100 & 4x100 gold medals are not enough to be even among the nominated for the Athlete of the year, if you not named Usain apparently :p

Big hype for tomorrow’s Valencia Half-marathon, being billed as a double WR attempt.  Also full marathons from Rotterdam, Rennes, Ljubljana & Venice.

There's more to the year than just the Olympics.
