Well, the  team didn’t make it easy on themselves. After so many close calls and underperformances in previous Olympic cycles it’s very nice to see them qualify.

1) 50 % of the top 8 are small eastern european nations (Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia, Serbia)

2) Spain, France and Australia all missed the elimination games

3) Interesting that Latvia and Lithuania are so good in basketball, but Estonia is completely irrelevant
