Bad news - @brunamoura 3:39 down at end of 1st lap

Good news - @brunamoura will be getting a good lump of screen time!  :cheer:

Like all the top Norwegian men, @brunamoura goes for the 100% double poling classic technique.  And there’s a lot if Swiss fans to see it!

@brunamoura got more screen time than whoever finished 7th or something :d

Points! :cheer: And with that, if we are not somehow grossly mistaken, a second Olympic ticket for the Brazilian women, that is insane :hyper:

Disclaimers, etc. New women's ranking around the interesting positions:

kGX7OEE.png

Croatia making it to a second ticket or not will depend entirely on whether or not Karen Chanloung starts and finishes tomorrow's race. That's a bit of an interesting predicament, considering she'd give Thailand a second ticket with which they can do literally nothing, but she'd take away one from Croatia.

Brazil should be able to get to 26th at least, and 25th if both finish tomorrow. No danger from behind anymore, only Thailand can (and will) pass them in case Chanloung finishes and both Bruna and Jaque don't, but since Brazil is in 27th and not 30th, that's no problem.

Congratulations! :)

Two questions: 1) Is it safe that the Brazilian NOC will use all its quota places in any case? Even if they get 3 (which is possible, as we know ;) )

2) Did you calculate the full ranking list or just for the places 20+? Would you share the full list with us if yes? :)

The Brazilian NOC's main goal (from January on, they hadn't realized it earlier...) has been to go for the two tickets, so I would assume they'd definitely use both of them, yes.

As for the total ranking, there could be some mistakes in the higher positions, there are some differences between mine and the one of Brazil's manager, but we're not sure where the difference comes from. Anyhow, this is my ranking:

Time for the 30k to close out the season. Hopefully @brunamoura can find some alright pace, she's got a train back to the Netherlands to catch in the finish town, a little under three hours after the start :p

    • It’s honestly baffling how bad she was in 2018. Just absolutely lost her head. Real shame too because she is so gifted. I do hope Li Jianrou sends her a Christmas card every year tho, she was absolutely gifted a gold medal by Christie in 2014.
    • Oh I’m not done yet, unfortunately. From the names that could be back but are still injured   Courtney Hoffos Mikael Kingsbury (should be back before the Olympics) Connor Howe (he returned, but nowhere close to his best so his injury is still giving him issues) Connor Bedard Meryeta O’Dine Megan Oldham
    • Italy also has its own list, although of course not every injury is as terribile  in terms of medal losses. In winter sports have unfortunately much more injuries than summer sports. In the summer only: cycling, volleyball and football.     - Brignone: will return in January, - Tabanelli: will return for the Olympics, - Bassino: season over, - Marta Rossetti: season over, - Lara Malsinier: season over.
    • TNT staff expect they will offer it at a price similar to what they offering the Winter Olympics for rather than the full TNT price.   But equally the main coverage is apparently going to be very different to what they do for the Olympics (Which is less pundits and studio chat than the BBC) with speculation it might be based on NBC’s Olympic coverage with tons of human interest etc.
    • India Sherret (ski cross)   Another name to the ever-growing list of injuries for the Canadian team… used to be excited for the Olympics, now not so much…
