So she went 2:06.83 in the 200m butterfly final!!!

Also went 1:58.03 in the 200m freestyle leading off a relay.

At this rate, she's going to make Summer McIntosh look like an age group swimmer in a few years.

Bold of you to assume she’ll make it past a few more years :p

It’s really concerning seeing her swim on average around 7-8 events every meet, and it leads me to believe that the coaches at the high performance center are overtraining her.

Absolutely. Don't for a second think coaches there give a flying fuck about her physical and mental well-being by the time she is, let's say, 20...

This has absolutely no value. Heck i would suggest countries actively banning these events and fining people promoting such "sport".

I had mentioned a while, that Bulgarian talent Josif Miladinov also announced his retirement, but unlike Gkolomeev, he is in his early career. Now there are reports, that he purposely retired to compete in these "Games" and go after their money. What can i say, typical Eastern European mentality.

Same with our world record holder in 50 m fly Govorov, who announced to comeback but then quickly changed his mind and retired for that bs

Our aquatics federation released a statement against Gkolomeev doing this. Meanwhile, he got 1 million USD for it :p
