It’s really concerning seeing her swim on average around 7-8 events every meet, and it leads me to believe that the coaches at the high performance center are overtraining her.

Absolutely. Don't for a second think coaches there give a flying fuck about her physical and mental well-being by the time she is, let's say, 20...

This has absolutely no value. Heck i would suggest countries actively banning these events and fining people promoting such "sport".

 

I had mentioned a while, that Bulgarian talent Josif Miladinov also announced his retirement, but unlike Gkolomeev, he is in his early career. Now there are reports, that he purposely retired to compete in these "Games" and go after their money. What can i say, typical Eastern European mentality.

Our aquatics federation released a statement against Gkolomeev doing this. Meanwhile, he got 1 million USD for it
