It's not too crazy if you look at some of the other top pole vaulter's progressions around the same age.

i do wonder how many went from a 5 60 pb something to an 5 80 pb something in one comp cause that sounds wild to me.

Okay maybe it's not as many as I thought but improvements in the mid teens at a single meet aren't that uncommon in the top pole vaulters. Sam Kendricks did improve by 0.21 in a single meet from 5.60 to 5.81 which is similar to this Chinese guy

I only looked through the top 10 all time.

i see, well i didn't think he was the first one to do something like that but i think that does prove my point,he is worth looking out for.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
