There's a big snowboard cross meet in :CAN this weekend, but I can't see details.  TV coverage locked away on NBC.

It looks like Patrick Burgener :SUI will now compete for :BRA:cool:

Just read it, that could potentially be absolutely horrible news for Augustinho Teixeira who has worked so hard and had such good results to get a quota spot for Brazil (which would obviously be his). If CBDN takes that away from him.....wow, just wow.

Hopefully there is a pathway to a second quota that Burgener can then take, but I have no idea how it works in snowboarding.

I find these snow sports qualifications quite confusing, honestly.

But considering Augustinho's great results this year, maybe both of them could qualify via ranking? Anyway, I'm not sure if CBDN would be that fair.

Let's say when it comes to them and being fair, I have my...uhm...expectations

Right now Brazil has one male halfpipe spot, earned entirely by Augustinho. Maybe the likes of @NearPup, @JoshMartini007 or @Josh know better if a second spot is still possible?

I expect Patrick Burgener will be able to earn his own spot relatively easily, in which case it wouldn't make things any harder for Augustinho (getting a 4th spot isn't any harder than getting the 1st spot in snowboarding and freestyle).

The actual ranking is pretty confusing but the qualification itself is pretty straightforward - just goes straight down the ranking list, max 4 per country per event and max 26 athletes total per country (IIRC) for the discipline, neither of which are likely to matter for :BRA
