Yeah, a lot of people don't want to see the Russians at the Olympics, all thanks to Putin and Mutko and the others who organized the state-sponsored doping system. Good job :)

Better "delusional" Russians are only "honest and clean" Canadians, like Richard Pound Richard McClaren Becky Scott and many other friends of Russians from WADA

Gee, I wonder why Becky Scott might be suspicious of Russian athletes when it comes to doping...

I know we hve a dedicated thread, but it's in the Tokyo 2020 section and the following news are only about Pyeongchang (at least for now)...

finally, also in Italy Discovery Group sub-licensed the free-to-air TV rights of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games to our public network, RAI...

details are still undisclosed, but they will come up in the next few hours for sure...

here the news in Italian:

https://www.digital-news.it/news/sport/44261/rai-cda-approva-accordo-con-discovery-eurosport-per-olimpiadi-invernali-2018

RAI board also established their terms for further negotiation about the Summer Games, Tokyo 2020 (which doesn't necessarily mean that this deal will be automatically finalized)...

I think 2-6 is realistic for Italy. Your predictions are really optimistic.

No, 2-6 is really too low, 6-8 sounds about right.

- 1-2 in biathlon

- 1 in xc skiing

- 2-3 in alpine skiing

- 1 in snowboarding

- 1 in short track

- 0-1 in speed/figure skating

Italy probaby has a disproportionate proportion of outsides chances vs cleat medal favorites that's why they doesen't show up in the gracenote medals table.

Gracenote (or anyone trying to do the same thing) should try to rank the top 6/8 in each event assignating each position with an odd to win a medal (from 85% to 5% per exemple), we would end up with a table closer to the truth IMHO.
