instead of those circus activities, why don't they try with a couple of true Wintersports like Orienteering (the appropriate version, of course) and Archey Biathlon?

Or the speed skating marathon.

 

If they add natural track luge of all things, they really lost every right to ever question Nordic combined again

I mean, you could do cross-country running in the snow (they are allowed to in the rules), but that gives me the "you can play chess on ice/snow" vibes.

If cyclo-cross makes it, I certainly hope it's snowy and icy. Definitely a sport that'll race in any conditions, from hot and bone dry to freezing and a layer of snow, but the very rare snow races are cool. Too bad that'd be about 10 years too late I think for  which had a specialist in those frosty conditions

I mean sure, but by that same logic there’s no reason why ski jumping has to be in the Winter Olympics rather than the Summer Olympics, the snow is purely optional at this point.

It seems very complicated to me to jump without the frozen channels Unless there are synthetic options such as ceramics

I'd like to see this in the Games. Not governed by World Athletics and technically a winter sport only https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowshoe_running

Judo at Winter Games??? Nah… it should be only sports connected with snow / ice somehow. Cross-country running and cycling may be the only exception for me
