Snow or Ice or GTFO! Sometimes i wish i was in these organization's structures, so i can give them a piece of my mind.

I def agree, but I don't have a problem with having a sport that doesn't *need* to be held on snow get held on snow (which can be down for cross country running and cyclocross).

In a way it's not that different from ski jumping, which can be done almost identically without any snow or ice.

As long as there is a 2900 athlete quota cap it is rational for every winter IF to be against any expansion of the program (except for their own sport).

I agree. If there will stay 2900 athlete quota cap, please do not add any other sport to WOG.

Especially if you see what they did with ski jumping and nordic combination.

I don't think there is such a rumor, it's more of a point to show how weak german results are outside of these sports (the media here is a one-guy operation anyway).

The sports will be okay for 2030 and 2034 as the facilities are already there. Later on, there might be an interrogation point as german domination is structurally guaranteed to last forever...

That would be insane, cant see it happening. There's already a sliding track in La Plagne basically ready for Olympic competition so it doesn't make any sense.

Getting rid of a historic sport like bobsleigh would surely also get a lot of backlash despite the German domination.

    • Stefania Constantini and her team out of Italy are heading their separate ways   Very confused to be honest, I know they had a bad season but I didn't expect to this happening... there's no real other options for any of them, unless they're focusing on Rock League/mixed doubles.   Italy has no other top female team, and the juniors aren't looking promising either, the last time they qualified a team to a World Juniors (not as host) was in 2014. Doubt the Italian Federation would let Constantini step away from the four-player game, she's too much of a talent, my guess is she'll "be forced" to go with Mariani (I mean her and Mosaner don't like each other much), still I have no idea who else they'd pick up given it's all five of them going their separate ways. Maybe Mathis will go back to representing Switzerland??
