oof, what a day, what a day ! our guys took down 3 Olympic Champions to make it a perfect day.

but have to say Esmaeili gave everybody a heart attack, not once but twice :yikes: when the ref below the whistle the first time it was like the whole world is falling but then a desperate challenge showed the Armenian was completely outside of mat before pinning him. and then few seconds later bang another near fall situation. that would be devastating to lose a match like that against someone much much weaker than yourself. the gold is his to lose now.

but Saravi was the man of the day by beating the great Aleksanyan finally , after losing to him 3 times.

Vinesh Phogat, retires from wrestling:cry:

what happened to her here was really really sad. I really feel sorry for her, nobody wants to be in her place right now.

but I hope she changes her mind after a while.

    • Exactly. Recent developments of the construction haven't been particularly encouraging, and while they'll probably get everything sorted just in time, a lot of North American fans have been quite vocal about every minor inconvenience.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
