Modern Pentathlon at the Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

Recommended Posts

I was really confused watching the laser run. The Olympic Champions looked 1:1 like a guy I played with in a table tennis team once, just after like 50 sessions in gym :D But the performance was impressive, a deserved winner :)

Fencing seems more important than the other rounds in this. Further Changes maybe needed as without the horses there is no longer that jeopardy either.

Except few players participated in Paris Olympics, I am expecting around 30 new names will be in Los Angeles with Obstacles replacing Equestrian.

Yeah, it will be even more of an endurance sport. I doubt that Hungary will have as many medal chances as before.

Perfect ride by Venčkauskaitė and 7 point deduction by Asadauskaitė. Realistically not really much chances for both Lithuanians to medal due poor fencing.

So far everyone looks good in riding

no faults in Annika's riding... probably smacked the horse off camera in advance

    • the basic is the same but with different tricks, different strategy etc. it's a mixture of frestyle and Greco because you can't dive for a single leg attack.    I'm surprised to see ~20 wrestlers in each weight. hopefully that doesn't tempt UWW or IOC to try this in major events. as a wrestling fan I find this very unwatchable !
