French people saying Luka Mkheidze lost because French President Emanuel Macron was in the attendance.

They don't want Macron to attend Men's Rugby 7s finals between France and Fiji

She is literally the youngest judoka at the Olympics. I'm sure she'll mature.

And she should be a real threat for gold in 2028 and 2032.

Pretty sure she will. It didn´t look good. But in all interviews before and after she seems like a great girl. no complaints from her in media after as you could suspect if someone is that mad at the judge direct after the match.

Nice for Smetov though, he can now finally sleep :d (he had said he would not sleep until he won Olympic gold, after already winning bronze and silver)

What was wrong about the call?

Tsunoda should have got the 3rd shido minutes before the final call against the Swede (which technically was correct, it's not that the point)

Babulfath is the moral winner of Today's competition (ps I agree that she should have been DQed after the end of the semifinal because Judo has a different disciplinary code, but it doesn't change the fact that she was robbed of a deserved win)

Scutto wasn't herself since the first fight against Laborde...very, very disappointing day for her (and the whole Italian team)

    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
    • badminton queen Carolina Marin announced that she can't take part into the home Europeans in the upcoming weeks because of her injured knee and calls it a career 😭
    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
