Omnium is really the most retarded events of all at the Olympics, even ahead of race running. The first 3 disciplines don’t matter at all. They should get rid of this clown event and maybe replace it with the elimination race.

German track cycling keeps getting more pathetic every Olympics. On the men’s side they are completely gone and now they can’t even win on the women’s side anymore. German junior men win tons of medals, but still they rather use grandpas like Bötticher that aren’t remotely competitive.
