Something for @hckošiceApparently Slovakian crime mob is dumping bodies on the Polish side of the border. The death of the policeman from Nitra was ruled a suicide i.e. the guy closed himself in the back of the trunk and shot himself in the head there :coffee: Even our journalists & locals suspect there's something fishy going on here :p

Not as elaborate a suicide as the Hong Kong cop back in the days of British rule who shot himself six times, though.  :smoke:

Do you have some "fever" sport in your country?

Since last year looks like everyone is playing Beach Tennis.

In my City, 400km far from the sea and with about 80k people i can easily count 10 new sand courts (actually complexes with many courts) opened here in the last few months lol

Before this "fever" ive never heard of this sport

Not really here, we tend to "rediscover" sports that were previously abandoned due to lack of success for years.

Can't really say 3x3 basketball became a "fever" sport in the last couple of years but maybe I forgot about something...

The miniature racket sports have really taken off since the pandemic. Pickleball has become crazy popular recreationally and somewhat professionally in the United States. Padel has really taken off in parts of Europe and the Middle East as well. I guess Brazil’s chosen pursuit is beach tennis :p

Punxsutawney Phil, the world's only marmot meteorologist, saw his shadow today, meaning there are six more weeks of winter.

If you put this in a film, it would be a racist stereotype & you’d be arrested by the Woke Inquisition, but this is real life.

A convicted Italian mafia killer on the run since 2006 has been caught in France, having hidden in plain sight as a pizza chef for at least three years

Americans don’t know that marmots brought the Black Death to Europe. We don’t interview them on TV.  :bones:

    • For anyone who was involved with buying tickets for Paris 2024, can anyone comment on how LA28's process seems similar or different?  I'm hoping to get tickets so my family and I can go, and I've already found events we'd like to go to (def. won't be medal matches, as I know those will be out of our price range).   Seems like Paris had some sort of 'package' deal you had to do, but I haven't seen anything like that for LA28.   Also, re: the draw system, was it the case that whenever your time slot became available, you had access to any session?  Or were only certain sessions available?  (And, if so, were different sessions available in a later ticket drop?)   Is it the case that preliminary sessions sell out more quickly than medal sessions?  Or vice-versa?   (To anyone interested in going: AirBnBs are able to be reserved up to two years ahead of time, so starting July-August, you should be able to make reservations.)
