Interesting prediction for men‘s 100 m fly (and to some degree for women‘s 200 back). Who is Meniakov?

Sadly it's a misspellings, I would mean Minakov (PB 50.83)

Men‘s 800 m: I think Amos will be back to win a medal. There are tons of guys who could medal in this event (Murphy, Boss, the polish guy, Rop).

Men‘s 200 m: Sadly I expect Coleman to win a medal in this event.

Men‘s Greco-Roman -67 kg: Bronze would be really disappointing for Stäbler. I think the postponement really helps him to get used to the new weight category.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

I haven't been frequenting the forums much now that all sports are on hold, but I just wanted to thank you @rafalgorka and @Gianlu33. It has been a lot of fun to read this thread.

Other than a gold or silver for Mathieu Van der Poel in men's MTB and no medals for Lorena Wiebes in women's road and ITT cycling, I don't have any major suggestions. I look forward to the next days.

I genuinely don't know non-Dutch athletes well enough to make a serious prediction for any sport. Of course I would love for a 1) Anna van der Breggen 2) Annemiek van Vleuten 3) Marianne Vos in women's road race (cycling), but sadly I doubt that will happen. I'll gladly enjoy any predictions you guys make though :)

Edit: also, with 4 more days of simulation to go, the Netherlands has already broken their all time Olympic medal record, beating the 25 tally of Sydney 2000. Tokyo really could have been the perfect storm... What a combination of experienced 30+ athletes and a new generation of world beaters. Some of the iconic athletes of the past decade going for their 'swan song' like Epke Zonderland, Dafne Schippers, Femke Heemskerk, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Eva de Goede, Annemiek van Vleuten, Marianne Vos and Kirsten Wild on the one hand. And future icons on the other hand, like Harrie Lavreysen, Vivianne Miedema, Niek Kimmann, Sifan Hassan and Mathieu van der Poel. Let us hope Tokyo 2021 lives up to the simulation, though I fear for the older generation.

@Gianlu33 Actually you seem to have some impossible predictions in weight lifting. This includes Kuo Hsing Chin of Chinese Taipei . She's a good lifter to win a Olympic medal but she is not allowed to participate in 2 different weight categories on the same day and win 2 medals. She'll go in the 59kg and her medal in 64kg may not come.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
