fortunately, the Greek was such a disaster in rounds 2 and 3 that even those biased judges couldn't do anything anymore...

The 1st round could've gone either way, even the Olympic Channel commentators thought so. You really think Greece has any influence in boxing? Lol.

the OC commentators are biased as very few others...

 

it's not a question of Greece having any influence, it's a question of Italy being the Nation to be destroyed because of what our former president Falcinelli did in the past few years (basically he was the main opponent of the mafia gang ruling AIBA since the early 2010s but at the same time he's always been a fierce rival of the British officials, also those who were by themselves against the former AIBA "owners"...so, Italy was killed many times during the previous AIBA tenure but we are heavily penalized also right now because we're always in the black list of those who got the power  )...

After 25 years !  Exactly 25 years ago in Atlanta 1996 competed in Boxing the last and only time since the independence of the country at the Olympics.

Now 25 years later our boxer will enter the Olympics ring.

 

2nd Combat sport after FS Wrestling (Makoev). Just incredible. we had nobody in Rio in a combat sport, in London only one judoka, now we have 2 quotas in two different combat sports.

And Bandi made it to the Slovak newspaper. I don't know when and if I ever read anything about boxing in our newspaper. What an achievement the kid did

With her win today,  Kellie Harrington becomes number one seed at 60kg. Oj Jeon yi from  is 2nd seed. The world champion Beatriz Ferreira from   will be number 3 seed because there was no Americas' qualifier

Our boxing is downright horrible these days so it's cool we have someone there. Obviously Masternak would have been there if the Games happened in 2020 like planned?

 

Really happy for Drabik. She was one victory away from making Rio. Got robbed in a 3-2 decision vs some Thai opponent IIRC. She really deserved that qualification!
