I have good hopes for the Swedish women's relay, although Persson is not looking too good.

Roeiseland now have 3 Gold medals in this championship and she's been on the podium in every race so far...:yikes:

so, every race with women involved (being a full female competition or a mixed relay) has been won either by Roeiseland or Wierer...

good spread of success is definitely something unknown to women's Biathlon...

So I gave it another chance...but I can not help myself, I can not find any sympathy or excitement for this single mixed relay. This is The most useless and ridiculous biathlon event, this should definitely stay on the auf schalke exhibitions gala or so

It is difficult to lose relays when you have Boes for days. And seeing that sprint, pursuit and individual wins all had less than 10 second margins from the second place, I'd say that it's still pretty competitive.

Especially for a season after Dahlmeier's and Kuzmina's retirement and adding the fact that Eckhoff + Makarainen are completely flopping and Vittozzi looks like a shadow of her former self this season.

It is fairly easy for Roeiseland and Wierer to sweep the medals, when only Herrmann and Oeberg are consistently challenging them from the top dogs. Names like Tandrevold and Braisaz are also fairly irrelevant in these championships.

Hard disagree on that. I find it highly competitive (meaning the race themselves are always rather close), and easy to understand. People seem to like, and more nations are able to take part. It also allows the less deep teams to have a chance at a medal (though that didn’t happen today). I hope it’s added to the OG soon.

only, and if only, they don't cut any other of the current Olympic disciplines (especially the Individual race)...

Yes, nothing needs to be cut (especially since no extra quotas would be required)

Inherent to the principle of the race, short distances means shorter gaps

Hooray :)

Ok more nations can participate but get medals... It's clear that this race is taken seriously by the big nations when at championships, i.e not in concurrence with the mixed relay. Therefore the chances of Estonia and Kazakhstan are reduced to 0.1%.

Plus there is already too much biathlon races at the Olympics

I agree this discipline should stay in programme. Even our team could be a medal contender in the future. Today I am really satisfied with performances of our young talents. 19th place is very respectible, and Alex Cisar shot 20 shots without needing any spare rounds.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.   Men's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:   data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==   Women's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Men's Doubles   2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Women's Doubles   1 Quota:
