Men's Football UEFA European Champions League 2023 - 2024

A lot of goals last night with some interesting achievements: Lazio's GK, Provedel scoring in 90+5 minute for 1-1 against Atletico, Barca had no mercy for Antwerp, 5-0 in the end (looks like Joao Felix feels confortable in this team), Newcastle back to UCL with a draw in San Siro (and what a chance they missed in very last minute:facepalm:) and congrats for Zvezda Crvena for playing so good football on Emirates against City, despite they lost, the Serbian team played so well in England:thumbup:

Arsenal vs Porto saw thr 1st Penalty Shootout in UCL since 2016 when Tral Madrid defeated Atletico in the Final

Arsenal won and we are going to have a very entertaining quarterfinals especially if Dortmund wins today

Would have been nice to have at least one semi-surprising team in this list, too bad :p

PSV was laughably awful :d

    • Ah, as if that weren’t enough, Fratelli d’Italia (the largest party in parliament, the same one PM Giorgia Meloni belongs to) is demanding that the federation’s leadership come to parliament to explain the reasons for the failure. One of the rare times the government and opposition are united
    • Obviously, like every four years, the usual media circus has kicked off, with Italian politics and the government demanding the FIGC president’s head on a spike. Meanwhile, since the president is also an idiot, he doubled down, saying that football players are the only professionals and that other sports survive on government money. And so, the little theater begins, with the big stars of other sports launching a media storm (rightly so) to insult overpaid football players who can’t even achieve the minimum results.
