Spoken truly like someone, who has read only headlines growing up and never bothered learning how the system was functioning.

It`s true. Life isn`t black or white but has different colors. The problem of doping also existed but all over the world. The fact that Lance Armstrong won TDF 7 times in a row on doping doesn`t mean that he didn`t have strictly cycling skills, e.g. technique and also that he didn't train very hard for this. It isn`t the case that if an average person on the street was given doping, he would suddenly start winning the TDF series or win gold medals at the Olympic Games, e.g. in swimming or athletics.

If Salkazanov qualify to Paris : 1 medal

If Salkazanov fail to qualify in the final wrestling world qualifier in Istanbul next month ? 0 medal

Simple as that

Shooting and Canoe Slalom are 2 sports which have in common one important factor, they mainly depend on luck.

In shooting especially the Shotgun events are just unpredictable, It is just impossible to make any predictions or locks in this sport, sure Zuzana just like Danka Barteková in Skeet can certainly be considered as contenders, but not as predicted medals, before Tokyo I was certain :SVK will medal in mixed trap as our pair was 3 years winning races left and right and then ended 4th at the Olympics losing to unknown american pair in  the bronze game...

Same for Canoe Slalom, We can win 4 golds just like we can fail to qualify to the final in all 4 events. This sport requires many factors to fall into place at the same time, current form, health, track setting, weather and wind conditions during the run and especially luck on the water

China just won ThomasCup. I can even see China winning 5 golds in Badminton instead of 2 that most puts ( Josh, etc).

I think ShiYuqi is favourite over Axelsen.

Yes but i think SYQ is stronger. He has better smash. I am Indonesian and i feel Christie has nothing special ( despite winning AllEngland and beating CHN SYQ and LSF in Ningbo last month). His game is more to tiring opponents. He might easily lose in earlier rounds. My money would be on Shi.

@Josh Do you put China around 38-39 golds? I saw the line in my books were O/U 33.5 which is omg.

    • Greece and Portugal also have winter sports centres - but of course these are not homologated routes for World Cup competitions I have never been to Albania personally, so I don't know the country at all. I have been in southern Croatia, though, and there are mountains there but you definitely can't ski there (I was there in the summer, but it's also impossible in the winter). World cup taking place there only in Zagreb.    In general the case of Colturi and Kostelic is completely different: Colturi has no ties to Albania and Janica Kostelic was Croatian and didn't left their country even though at the beginning of her carrier (and also her brother Ivica) her father had to pay for everything and the federation's support was zero. This only changed later. I imagine that the Kostelic family had offers from other countries (Austria, Switzerland, Italy?) to compete for them, which were much richer (at the beginning of the 21st century Croatia was a very poor country and devastated by war). All the more respect for them because they were true Croatian patriots until the end. I can imagine the Colturi family in a similar situation... Her mother would probably negotiate with half of Alpine Europe for Lara to compete for them Which of course doesn't change the fact that the Italian federation completely gave a shit in this situation. They let such talent go in a situation where they hasn`t a single female athlete on the podium of the World Cup in slalom for a dozen or so years. In the giant slalom it's not much better either, only there the older athletes cloud the picture: Brignone and Bassino. However, behind these two there is absolutely nothing...
    • Atalanta is probably playing the most beautiful football in Europe right now: spectacular and effective. It's nice to watch and they don't have to spend a lot of money for it.   Inter is playing very economically. It's not impressive but it's consistently collecting points. It's also the only team in the Champions League that hasn't conceded a goal this season.   Milan played very poorly yesterday but they won. They have 9 points and are close to qualifying for the play-offs.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
