Gracenote releases medal projection 100 days to go!

IMG_20240417_121549.jpg

:AUS is going to win 13 gold medals in swimming only...plus all the rest

and I really hope :FRA is NOT going to win all those gold medals (also, :ITA getting more than 12...the minimum target is a record breaking 15)

:SVK

If Salkazanov qualify to Paris : 1 medal

If Salkazanov fail to qualify in the final wrestling world qualifier in Istanbul next month ? 0 medal

Simple as that

Your prediction is much more accurate than Gracenote's, who still thinks Netherlands will win a silver medal at the 4x100 freestyle in swimming  and a total of 18 golds :toast:

no, I think this is way too optimistic

well, this is definitely not out of reach...yeah, everything must go according to plan (and have a bit of luck, too), but it's not impossible

if cycling, rowing and athletics specialists all perform to their best, that might push :NED to the Moon

Regarding aus, Can’t see grace brown being favourite for the time trial

And who’s predicted for gold in the woman’s 200m if not MOC or titmus 🧐🧐

Is there any extended tally present covering all nations and their medal breakup.

Nope, you have to pay them to get details of a country.

If GB win only 13 Golds I will be shocked, and honestly same with Australia, I could see them near that target in just Swimming.

Yeah, unfortunately for these types of services, their model puts a lot of weight on the last world championships. For swimming so many people missed the 2024 edition (as expected) that the prediction is skewed. Since Australia depends on swimming for many of its medals, they are going to be severely underestimated in this model.

GraceNote would be better off to either combine the times of the last two championships or even disregard 2024 and only use 2023.
