I think with results so far, quota is guaranteed for Iran in men's team sabre. right ? China can't catch Iran even if they win gold in the next World Cup (assuming it doesn't get cancelled)

our fencers are tired of staying in Europe for so long, they will come back home after this WC and won't go to Hungary (or anywhere else) Mojtaba Abedini is already home and in Luxembourg we only have 3 fencers with no coach and nobody else with them !

meanwhile here we have the projected OQR in women's Team Sabre when only the finals and placement matches are left in today's competition - and assuming that the last tournament won't be cancelled)...

16. :TUN Tunisia  133 (8)  Virtually qualified - African Continental spot
17. :VEN Venezuela  124-125 (8)

in parenthesis the projected discarded scores until today...

in this case, instead, we still have a few spots open, that will be decided only in the last tournament (if it's held somewhere sometimes)...

:UKR Ukraine today almost compromised their chances to earn the European berth, even if they still have a really remote chance, but they could also take advantage of a possible drop from :TUN Tunisia out of the top 16 (most likely it will be a direct match-up between :VEN Venezuela and :TUN Tunisia in the round of 32 of the last tournament to decide the Tunisian -and Ukranian- destiny)...

the Asian spot, instead, most likely will go to :CHN China, but they have to wait and see if :KOR South Korea drop out of the top 4 overall in the last tournament (unlikely, :HUN Hungary have too many points to make up, but an early exit by the Koreans could open the door for a surprising outcome...who knows? :mumble:)...

the African spot, as said, could go to :TUN Tunisia, but they desperately need to save their asses from a possible Venezuelan upset in the last event, otherwise there won't be any African team in Tokyo in women's sabre...
