Monzanator 3,638 Posted April 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2023 Luca Brecel beat Ricky Walden 10-9 in the first deciding frame match of the champs. Ding Junhui leads Hossein Vafaei 5-4 after the first session, the second will start in two hours (I assume it's for the Asian market time zone?). Monzanator 3,638 Posted April 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2023 Vafaei wins the first three frames of session two and takes the lead 7-5. Almost a must-win frame for Ding before the intermission.

Monzanator 3,638 Posted April 17, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2023 Two hours and it's done. Hossein Vafaei wins 10-6! His first win at The Crucible after a complete dominance today. R2 vs Ronnie O'Sullivan should be very interesting
MHSN 3,347 Posted April 17, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2023 Hossein didn't waste any time to say some dumb things about O'Sullivan once again. I mean O'Sullivan is probably a jerk but you won't say things like that about the best player in the world, it just makes the life harder for yourself. he was great today, if the plays like this (which is a big big if) he can beat anybody but he just puts a lot of pressure on himself. still it was great to win his first ever Crucible match. even if he loses 13-0 the next round. Monzanator 3,638 Posted April 19, 2023 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2023 First big upset in R1 - Anthony McGill beats Judd Trump 10-6. McGill was always one of the more tricky unseeded players and you could argue he was actually unlucky to draw Trump from the seeds.
