So... Time to reveal how Croatian song got selected (attention @heywoodu). As you may know, I am an avid fan of dressage. As such, I often hear background music being played at competitions. The main purpose of such background music is to muffle sudden sounds from the audience, but also to make a nicer viewing experience for the audience. That's why at big events there are always professional DJs who really do an amazing job in synchronizing music to the selected pattern of movements.

 

And here we come to Maksim Mrvica... Even though I have always known who he is, until recently I had no idea that he was the author of 'Wonderland', even though I have heard that piece of music countless times during dressage competitions.

 

After some search, I found an example of Maksim Mrvica's music being used. 'Wonderland' is being played during trot tour, but his originals are also used during walk ('Hana's Eyes') and canter ('Croatian Rhapsody'). I considered all three songs for TISC upon finding out that Maksim was the author, but eventually chose 'Wonderland'. Maybe I should have gone with 'Hana's Eyes'. There are some vocals there, so it's less of a novelty.

 

There is some commentary in the video, but background music should be clear enough.
