Considering that we haven't even seen Russian athletes in most sport events for a year now and their country is quite segregated because of the war, I am not sure how they be trusted. I mean, even before the war the Russian anti-doping system was the most untrustworthy in the entire world, now it might as well not exist anymore. The only Russian athletes who should be considered as potential neutral participants are the ones who train outside of Russia, preferably in a country where a proper anti-doping system is in place.

@hckošiceHow would you translate them into English?

It´s Czech language, but of course no problem to understand and translate to you, since we are used to both languages from a childhood, Most of our films and series are still dubbed in Czech, we understand each other perfectly while speaking in our respective languages :d

So the tweet head line translation now:

"Hockey celebration ? NO, rather the most disgusting advertisement for :RUS  war and crimes including genocide on :UKR children ! With 10 :RUS Ice Hockey players in the NHL All-Stars Weekend. Does Seznam.TV (private czech TV channel) realize that with such headline they are helping to promote :RUS war and crimes ? This must to end. More to come in the next days..."

The only thing - regarding to all of this ban staff - is that we must never forget that it was Slovenia, Bosnia and Croatia who invaded Serbia back in the 90s, it was Kosovo who invaded Serbia after that and it was Ukraine who invaded Russia in 2022, all of them to gain their people and their territory.

Apart from that, I 100% agree that this is sports website so I will try to avoid political stuff in the future.

You did a good job to get to the core of the problem. Bosnia and Croatia had a significant Serb population that didn't want to live in their new secessionist states just as Russians in Donetsk, Crimea and Lugansk didn't want to live in a new post 2014 coup Ukraine. Yet, all those countries have had a right to secession, just as Kosovo, but Russians in DNR, LNR and Crimea don't have that right. Kosovo is even bigger example of this nonsense because it never was independent country. Talking about double standards.

And regarding ban with all other unsportmanlike reasons, it's just so shortsighted because it will only increase anti western sentiment among ordinary Russians which have nothing to do with war. It's just opposite of something that you want to accomplish.

When you want to initiate some internal issue like riots/protests/civil war from the outside, you can divide the citizens into pro-democracy/anti-democracy and help one side to fight the other and label the side you choose to help as good/justice/progress. But when the hot war already start, then there is no need to make such inefficient effort to distinguish the enemy and ingratiate yourself with them.

:CZE Olympic Committee refuses the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in Paris

ČOV in its official statement expressed its disagreement for the participation of Russians and Belarusians in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. They are in favor of maintaining the valid sanctions that would deprive athletes from these countries of starting at the Olympics.

They are not considering boycotting the games in case IOC will allow them to compete though and rather will leave the decision on participation in the games up to the athletes themselves
